Hasseltine To Speak At Sold-Out Youth Awards Banquet

Terry Hasseltine, Executive Director of the Sports Commission for the State of Maryland, will be the featured speaker at the sold-out Maryland Youth Cricket annual awards banquet this Saturday night in College Park. 

Hasseltine was named a "Most Influential Marylander” by the Maryland Daily Record, one of the 20 most powerful people in Baltimore by the Baltimore Business Journal, and the 2017 Sport Tourism Executive of the Year by the National Association of Sports Commissions.

Since arriving in Maryland, Hasseltine has been instrumental in leading various bid-development and event-support opportunities for the state including the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse National Championships, international soccer such as Chelsea v. AC Milan, the Dew Tour, CONCACAF Gold Cup, Baltimore Grand Prix, Army-Navy football games and much more.

Also speaking will be renown entrepreneur, philanthropist and civic leader Frank Islam, for whom the state's most prestigious championship trophy is named, and USA national team player Sunny Sohal.
